Christmas Day Photographer

The morning dawned clear and cold at twenty degrees below freezing with 6 inches of snow on the ground. Cooper was happy to put on his camera and go downstairs to see what Santa had brought for him.

Uninterested in going outside in the freezing air, Cooper opened his Christmas stocking and enjoyed all of the wrapping and ribbons we discarded.

He looks really sleepy in the picture here because he’d been sleeping in that box for over an hour. Good boy.

Cooper shot this great one of Michael trying out his new binoculars. I love the composition with the painting, by Elizabeth C. Otto, in the background. It’s like the Angels are all flying to wherever Michael is looking.

Here is another interesting shot through a trash bag full of Christmas paper. He’s looking up at Carol & David Cross.

For most of the morning he was in the window seat (above the heater) napping. This shot through our niece’s toy is certainly a different viewpoint.

A photo taken from behind the tree, I think. Or perhaps in pursuit of his toy mouse.

Michael got a robotic bug and Cooper loved it (see video). It’s not really a cat toy, but it was great fun during “supervised play”. Cooper is wearing his Cat-Cam in this video. You can see that it doesn’t bother him at all. Video shot by Carol Cross.

Cooper is currently leaping around in the hallway after his toy mouse. I’m thrilled that he’s burning off some energy. He’s really had a case of cabin fever this December.
