This weather isn’t his favorite

This is not Cooper’s favorite weather. He barely goes outside at all in the winter, especially with full access to the cat-door. There’s no reason to stay outside if it’s cold. I wouldn’t want to be out there in my bare feet either.

Its freezing cold and days that are alternately snowy and really dry which is good sometimes, but not when it makes your fur all staticky. It’s so crappy out that it’s making Cooper cranky.

Lets see if it’s good for his art.

Lurking in the bushes perhaps to keep dry or watch the birds.

Cooper found a less snowy patch of sidewalk to run down. Perhaps under the fringe of thick bushes. After he came back in today, he spent twenty minutes chewing snow from his paws.

After the paw defrosting was done, he curled up on the couch next to his favorite squirrel watching window.

Cooper is currently sleeping on the heated tile floor of the master bathroom.

Another Snowy Day

With a fresh two-inches of snow on the ground Cooper climbed into his camera gear and curled up on the couch to sleep. After a power nap, he headed outside to take a walk around the neighborhood.

Purrfect holiday gift ideas

This time of year, Cooper spends a lot of time sleeping under the Christmas tree in a pile of presents. Here is a picture he took with his Cat Cam. A lot of people have asked us where we got our Cat-Cam, so we thought that we’d put together a list of holiday gift ideas for the kitties and cat lovers on your lists!

Shrimp and Cheese for the Kitten

The three year anniversary of Cooper’s adoption was last Sunday. Which is pretty amazing that it was also the day where over a million people met him on the internet. I love to think about that weekend when we met him. Michael and I flew down in Medford, Oregon for my grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary weekend…

Getting on Animal Planet

When the producer, Andrea, from Animal Planet called back in October it seemed like such a fluke. She found out about Cooper from Mr. Lee’s Cat-Cam site, where he is a featured cat photographer. Apparently there are a lot of “crazy cat ladies” out there, so she was excited to see that Michael & I were “normal”.

Press Clipping: Seattle Post – Intelligencer

Last Saturday, the Seattle Post-Intellegencer ran an article about Cooper and his Cat-Cam titled “Are You on Catnip Camera?” We were all very pleased with how the article came out and shocked by the story appearing on the front pages of Digg.com, Fark.com, and being picked up by the Associated Press.

We got the interview with the P-I in the first place because of Cooper’s appearance on Cats 101. It turned out that our screentime was only about 1 minute. But the article that preceded it was fantastic.

Cooper is now hanging out with Michael on the couch. They’re looking at Michael’s iPhone together.

First Blog Post

Cooper has been pretty much an indoor cat since his launch to fame on Saturday, December 6th. Cooper appeared on the tv show, Cats 101 on Animal Planet and in a front page article in Seattle P-I. The phones have been ringing off the hook around Cross Films where Cooper works during the day.

Cooper is currently sleeping off a long day of returning phone calls from news media. He had a nice dinner of kibble and mushroom broth with a sprinkling of nutritional yeast.
